Appointment of Aoife O'Donnell as Account Director at Heneghan

Heneghan, is delighted to announce the appointment of Aoife O’Donnell as Account Director at the long-established strategic communications company. The appointment is part of Heneghan’s growth strategy as it continues to expand its team and business offering.

A former employee of Heneghan over fifteen years ago, Aoife returns now bringing over 25 years of industry and educational experience in communications with her.

Aoife’s expertise spans the corporate and consumer sectors and most notably the healthcare sector in which she has specialised over the last ten years. Prior to this, Aoife managed the marketing communications for an international healthcare brand and acquired experience in the consultancy sector managing the communications needs of organisations in the corporate, consumer and technology sectors.

Aoife also teaches public relations at third level and has written an internationally published textbook on PR and Communications, Public Relations and Communications: From Theory to Practice.

Commenting on her appointment, Aoife O’Donnell said, “I had the opportunity to work with Heneghan in the early stages of my career and I am delighted now to have the opportunity to return to this dynamic and forward-thinking communications firm. I look forward to bringing my own expertise and experience to the team and our clients as we look to an exciting future.”

Prior to joining Heneghan, Aoife worked as a PR Consultant in the healthcare sector, where she advised a wide range of organisations in across frequently challenging and complex environments. Her experience spans many disciplines of healthcare, including radiology, audiology, dentistry and ophthalmology, amongst others.

Aoife is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland and works with the Institute on its education committee. Alongside her qualifications in public relations, Aoife holds an MA in training and Education.
